n Hormone stored in special packets (called granules) n secreted from cell into capillary n Sent via capillaries (blood stream) to target cells. n Target cells have receptors for the hormone. n Hormone may stimulate or inhibit after binding to receptors. n Target organ may secrete hormone that feeds back information to endocrine cell.
